Test AA PCM Requested TCS to Be Disabled
AA: PCM Requested TCS To Be Disabled:
ABS/TCS:
OPERATION:
IMPORTANT: If PCM DTC P1571 is not present when ABS/TCS DTC 75 is set, no fault exists in the ABS/TCS system.
^ When excessive wheel spin is detected by the EBTCM, it will request the PCM to reduce engine torque via a high speed Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal on Circuit 463.
- The PCM will disable TCS when the following PCM codes are set: P0101, P0341, P0342, P1350, P1361, P1623, P1630, P0131, P0132, P0171, P0172. The EBTCM upon receiving the TCS disable message from the PCM will then illuminate the "Traction OFF" indicator lamp.
^ DTC 75 sets when the EBTCM receives a serial data message from the PCM to disable traction control.
- EBTCM to PCM communication problem due to an open or short in circuits 800 or 463.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
- PCM Fault Present.
- Open or short in CKT 800.
- Open in CKT 463.
- Short in CKT 463.
- Faulty PCM or EBTCM.
