D: Fuel Gage Always Indicates Empty
Disconnect connector C305. Switch the Ignition to RUN. Observe the Fuel Gage.^ If the Fuel Gage reads full, check PPL (30) wire for a short to ground. If OK, replace the Fuel Gage sending unit.
^ If the Fuel Gage still shows an empty tank check PPL (30) wire for a short to ground. If OK, replace the Instrument Cluster (see Service and Repair).
