B: Fuel Gage Always Reads E
Open connector C305. Move Ignition Switch to RUN and observe the Fuel Gage.^ If the Fuel Gage now reads F, replace the Fuel Gage Sender.
^ If the Fuel Gage still shows E, check PPL (30) wires for a short to ground (see schematic). If PPL (30) wires are good, check the BLK/WHT (151) wire for an open. If both are OK, replace the Instrument Cluster (see Service and Repair).
