Water Pump: Service and Repair

Removing and installing or replacing water pump.

Drain off coolant and dispose of properly.
Remove vibration damper, If necessary, remove tubes for secondary air induction.






Release belt pulley.
Remove coolant hose between expansion tank and water pump.
Remove coolant hose to lid on thermostat housing.

Remove lid to thermostat housing and thermostat.






Unfasten screws and remove water pump.






Installation:
Make sure that sleeves are correctly seated. Clean sealing faces, replace gasket.
