Seat Pan Cover, Separating from Upholstery

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634)






Removing






- Remove cover and upholstery from seat pan. Refer to => [ Seat Pan Cover and Upholstery ] Seat Pan Cover and Upholstery.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from the upholstery - 2 - as far as possible.

- Cut through the upholstery clips - 3 - using pliers - 4 -.

- On vehicle from 09.09, pull the seat cushion out of the cloth loop - arrow -.






- Remove cover from cushion.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Use new upholstery clips.

- Close wire clips with upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634).

- Place the upholstery clips in their original locations.
