Impact Guard

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hot air gun (V.A.G 1416)

• Cleaning solution (D 009 401 04)

Removing






- Open the hood.

- Carefully warm impact guard - 1 - with the (V.A.G 1416) and remove from hood - 2 - in the area of the adhesive surface.

- Remove the impact guard.

Installation






Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Use (VAS 6349) to remove any remaining adhesive.

- Clean the adhesive surfaces with cleaning solution (D 009 401 04).

- Remove the protective film and insert guide - 2 - on impact guard - 1 - into the mount of hood - 3 -.

• The impact guard must be flush with the outer edge of the hood.

- Press on the entire length of the impact guard.
