Left Rear Coolant Pipes on Transmission

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose Clip Pliers (VAS 6362)

Removing






- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining and Filling ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the left catalytic converter. Refer to => [ Left Catalytic Converter ] Left Catalytic Converter

- Free up the battery positive wire - 2 - and the transmission vent hose - 4 -.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Loosen the clamps and remove the coolant hoses - 1 and 3 -.

- Remove the left rear coolant pipes.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pipes Overview ] Coolant Pipes Overview.

• Replace O-rings.

• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory. Refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Install the left catalytic converter. Refer to => [ Left Catalytic Converter ] Left Catalytic Converter.

- Fill the coolant system => [ Filling ] Service and Repair.
