Inner Tail Lamps







Inner Tail Lamps

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing






- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Turn light switch into "0" position.

- Pry the cover - 1 - out using a (3409) - arrow -.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 5 -.






- Remove the nut - 7 - and remove the large clamping bracket - 6 -.

- Remove the nuts - 2, 3 - and then remove the clamping bracket - 1, 4 -.

- Remove the inner tail lamp toward the outside.

Installing






Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Tightening specification and sequence for the inner tail lamp ] Inner Tail Lamps Overview.

Make sure the seal between the body and tail lamp housing seals correctly.

- Slide the clamping brackets - 1, 4, 5 - onto the inner tail lamp threaded pins and turn the nuts - 2, 3, 6 - 3 turns.

- Position the inner tail lamp on the outer edge of the rear lid so that the clamping bracket audibly engages.

- Tighten the nuts, refer to => [ Tightening specification and sequence for the inner tail lamp ] Inner Tail Lamps Overview.

When tightening the nuts, the clamping bracket wedges itself onto the rear lid - arrows -.
