DSG Transmission Mechatronic (J743)

Removing

• Transmission installed

There is a risk of damaging the transmission.

• Do not start the engine if there is no ATF in the transmission and the DSG transmission mechatronic is removed.

• => [ Repair Information ] Repair Information.

• => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.

• S-Tronic Transmission 0B5 information, refer to => [ ATF Pipes ] Service and Repair.

- Move the selector lever into "P".

- Turn off the ignition and remove the key.








There is a risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with static discharge.

• Always "discharge" the static electricity. Do this by touching a grounded object, for example vehicle ground, the vehicle or the hoist.

• Do not touch contacts in transmission connector with hands.

- Disconnect the connector on transmission by rotating screw connections counter-clockwise - arrow -.

- Remove the ATF oil pan. Refer to => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Oil Pan ] 0B5A (S-Tronic) Transmission.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

There is a risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with static discharge.

• Always "discharge" the static electricity. Do this by touching a grounded object, for example, vehicle ground, the vehicle or the hoist.

• Do not touch the contacts in transmission connector with hands.

- Make sure the connector is correctly connected to the Mechatronic.

- Complete the steps required after connecting the battery.

- Install the ATF suction filter.

- Install the ATF pan. Refer to => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Oil Pan ] 0B5A (S-Tronic) Transmission.

- Fill with ATF. Refer to => [ ATF, Checking Level and Correcting ] ATF, Checking Level and Correcting.

• After replacing the DSG Transmission Mechatronic (J743) , the corresponding "Guided Functions" must be performed with the vehicle diagnostic tester => [ Transmission Guided Functions ] 0B5A (S-Tronic) Transmission.
