Entry Assistance Control Cables, Adjusting


Make sure the backrest is locked (zero position) or it could tip forward accidentally.

- Install the entry assistance control cables. Refer to => [ Entry Assistance Control Cable and Housing ] Entry Assistance Control Cable and Housing.

- Create a panel with dimensions - a - = 30 mm, - b - = 13.7 mm and - c - = 1 mm as an assisting tool - 3 -.






- Install handle - 1 -.

- Position assisting tool - 3 - between housing - 2 - and control disc - 8 - so tool lies directly on housing wall and tab - 9 -.

- Then install adjustment nut - 5 - on screw - 7 - until control cable - 4 - is free of tension and there is slack in the cable.

- Then lock adjustment nut - 4 - with locking nut - 6 -.

- Check whether the backrest engages in the zero position again by releasing it several times.

- Install housing trim panel and check whether handle has a noticeable play without releasing backrest. Refer to => [ Entry Assistance, Trim ] Entry Assistance, Trim.
