Rubber-Metal Mount for Rear Multicontour Seat Compressor

Removing

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.

Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

Observe all measures when installing the rear seat. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

- Remove module carrier with air cushions for lumbar support. Refer to => [ Module Carrier with Air Cushions for Lumbar Support ] Module Carrier with Air Cushions for Lumbar Support.








Eye injury risk.

Wear protective eye wear!

- Drill out rivets - arrows - and remove compressor.

For clarity, the module carrier is depicted with the compressor installed.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

The rubber-metal compress mount must not be installed under tension or twisted.

Therefore, first bolt all rubber-metal mounts to the compressor. Refer to and then rivet them.
