Rubber-Metal Mount for Rear Multicontour Seat Compressor
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Removing
• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.
• Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.
• Observe all measures when installing the rear seat. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

- Remove module carrier with air cushions for lumbar support. Refer to => [ Module Carrier with Air Cushions for Lumbar Support ] Module Carrier with Air Cushions for Lumbar Support.
Eye injury risk.
• Wear protective eye wear!
- Drill out rivets - arrows - and remove compressor.
• For clarity, the module carrier is depicted with the compressor installed.
Installing
• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.
• Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.
• Observe all measures when installing the front seat. Refer to => [ Standard Seat ] Standard Seat.
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
• The rubber-metal compress mount must not be installed under tension or twisted.
• Therefore, first bolt all rubber-metal mounts to the compressor. Refer to and then rivet them.
