Input Shaft, Servicing with 6 Lining Discs


Servicing with the incorrect number of lining discs leads to input shaft damage after bringing vehicle into operation again.

In this case, the software in the transmission control module (J217) does not match the number of lining discs.

There are two types of transmissions:

1. Transmission with 7 lining discs serviced

This transmission installed in vehicles with the following engines:

2. Transmission with 6 lining discs serviced

These transmissions are installed in vehicles with all other engines.
