High Pressure Pump Assembly Overview






1 High pressure pump

The Fuel Metering Valve (N290) is installed in the right high pressure pump (cylinder bank 1)

Fuel Metering Valve 2 (N402) is installed in the left high pressure pump (cylinder bank 2)

The Low Fuel Pressure Sensor (G410) is installed in the left high pressure pump (cylinder bank 2)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ High Pressure Pump ] High Pressure Pump

2 Bolt

9 Nm

3 Seal

Replace

4 Low Fuel Pressure Sensor (G410)

10 Nm

Installed only in the left high pressure pump (cylinder bank 2)

5 High-pressure line


Before opening high pressure components of the fuel injection system, pressure must be relieved to residual pressure. Refer to => [ Before Opening High Pressure Fuel Injection System ] Service and Repair.

Then wrap a clean rag around the connection and relieve residual pressure by carefully loosening the connection.

Observe safety precautions when disconnecting the battery.

Before loosening, disconnect Ground (GND) cable at battery with ignition switched off

Connectors should not show any signs of damage

Do not change bent shape

25 Nm

6 Fuel supply line


Before opening high pressure components of the fuel injection system, pressure must be relieved to residual pressure. Refer to => [ Before Opening High Pressure Fuel Injection System ] Service and Repair.

Then wrap a clean rag around the connection and relieve residual pressure by carefully loosening the connection.

Observe safety precautions when disconnecting the battery.

Before loosening, disconnect Ground (GND) cable at battery with ignition switched off

Connectors should not show any signs of damage

Do not change bent shape

25 Nm

7 O-ring

Replace

8 Roller tappet
