Front Transmission Oil Lines

Removing

- Remove the right rear wheel.

- Remove the right rear wheel housing liner.

- Place the Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782) the separating joint.





- Remove the union nuts - 1 - and - 2 -.

• To prevent dirt from entering, seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs or caps.

• Disregard the - arrow -.

- Remove the air duct - 1 - - arrows -.





- Remove bolt - 2 -.





- Remove the nut - 1 - and retaining tab.

- Remove the bolt - 2 - on the oil line bracket.

- Place the Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782) the separating joint.

- Remove the union nuts - 3 - and - 4 - and front transmission oil lines.

• Ignore - arrows -.

Installing

• Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Lines and Oil Cooler Assembly Overview ] Description and Operation.

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

- Install the right rear wheel housing liner.

- Gear oil level, checking and topping off. Refer to => [ Oil Drain, Oil Fill and Oil Check Plug Assembly Overview ] Description and Operation.
