Heating Control Valve Unit and Coolant Pump Wiring Harness Repair Set, Installing
Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.
Procedure
- Remove the center tunnel cover - 1 -.
- Remove the driveshaft.
- Disconnect the electrical connector - D - on the coolant pump (V50) - item C -.
• Disregard the other items.
CAUTION!
Risk of burning.
• The heating control valve unit can be warm or even hot when the engine is cold because it is activated depending on the climatronic control module (J255) temperature setting whenever the ignition is switched on.
- Disconnect the electrical connector - D - on the heating control valve unit - E -.
• Disregard the other items.
- Remove the center console.
- Remove the parking brake lever.
- Separate the wiring harness at the location marked - 5 -.
- Connect the repair wiring harness - 4 - with the vehicle wiring harness.
- Guide the wiring harness through the opening in the center tunnel and press the grommets - 3 - on.
- Connect the electrical connectors
1. Heating control valve unit
2. Coolant pump (V50)
- Install the driveshaft.
- Install the center tunnel cover.
- Install the parking brake lever.
- Install the center console.
- Check the DTC memory and erase any malfunctions displayed.
