C-Pillar Trim

Removal and installation are same for right and left.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)





Removing with OLD Retaining Clip Location





The location of the clip has changed. The C-pillar trim could be damaged during removal if the removal instructions are not followed. There are different implementation dates depending on the C-pillar version (color, equipment). From August 2007, only C-pillar trim with the clip in the new location was installed. Check if the C-pillar is the new or old version before removing the trim.

The C-pillar - 4 - is shown in sections to make the clip location - 1 (quantity: 2) - visible.

Only on version with a luggage net

- Remove the ball pin - 6 - and the collar - 5 -.

All versions

- Using the (3409) unclip and remove the C-pillar trim - 7 - in the clip area - 1 (quantity: 2) - and - 3 (quantity: 2 without luggage net, 1 with luggage net), - in the direction of the arrow - arrows -.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

If the trim clips stay in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the trim.

Check the clips for damage or deformation and replace them if necessary.
