Turbocharger Coolant Pump: Service and Repair

Charge Air Cooling Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose Clip Pliers (VAS 6362)

Removing

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] Procedures.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - and free up the coolant - 3 -.






- Remove the nut - 2 - and the retaining strap.

- Remove the charge air cooling pump (V188) and remove the coolant hoses by loosening the hose clamps - arrows -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the nut - 2 -. Coolant Pipes Overview.

- Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] Procedures.
