Front Ceramic Brake Disc, C/SIC Caliper

CAUTION!
The brake disc ring and the brake disc cup are attached to each other and must never be separated. Never loosen the threaded connector on the brake disc cup.

- Vehicle, Raising

- Remove wheels.

CAUTION!
If brake pads are ceramics, wheel must not fall on brake disc, otherwise it will be irreparably damaged. To install/remove wheel, install two assembly pins from vehicle tool kit in mounts on wheel bolts. The long assembly pin is in the upper position.

- Remove the brake caliper, refer to=> [ Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6 ] Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6

Do not let the brake caliper with the brake carrier hang from the brake hose. Secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire. Do not support the weight with the brake hose.

- Remove the securing bolt - 8 - on the brake disc while holding the disc firmly.





- Remove the brake disc from the wheel hub.

• When removing the brake disc from the wheel hub, do not tilt the disc.

Installing

- Clean the contact surfaces on the wheel hub and brake disc. Remove any corrosion.

- Place the brake disc on the hub.

• When positioning the brake disc, do not tilt it on the wheel hub.

- Install the securing bolt - 8 - and tighten it to 10 Nm.





- Remove the brake caliper. Refer to=> [ Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6 ] Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6

- Install the wheels.
