Cellular Phone Transceiver: Service and Repair






Telephone Transceiver

Telephone transceiver (R36) is located in front of left front seat under floor covering

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

- If control module is replaced, select replacement function for appropriate control module in guided fault finding routine.

Use the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051) to do so.

Removing

- Remove the left front seat.

- Fold back the floor mat.

- Disengage cover of electronics box and open the box - arrows -.





The telephone transceiver is only wedged into the electronics box.

- Pry the telephone transceiver - 1 - in - direction of arrow - out of the electronics box - 2 -.





- Disconnect all harness connectors.

- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





Installing

- Install in reverse order.

- Adapt the Bluetooth connection between telephone transceiver and telephone handset (R36) anew. Refer to => [ Telephone Handset - Telephone Fixed Installation, Adapting ] Testing and Inspection.
