Rocker Arm Assembly: Service and Repair

Roller Rocker Lever

Removing

- Remove engine. Refer to: Vehicles with manual transmission => [ Engine, Manual Transmission, Removing ] Engine, Manual Transmission, Removing, vehicles with automatic transmission => [ Engine, Removing ] Engine, Automatic Transmission, Removing and Installing.

- Remove camshaft timing chains from camshafts. Refer to => [ Camshaft Timing Chains, Removing from Camshafts ] Camshaft Timing Chains, Removing From Camshafts.

- Remove camshafts. Refer to => [ Camshafts ] Service and Repair.

- Mark allocation of roller rocker lever and shafts for roller cam follower for re-installation.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.





- Thread a M6-bolt into the hole in shaft for roller rocker lever.

- Remove shaft from cylinder head and remove roller rocker lever.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Replace O-rings.

- Lubricate bearing areas of roller rocker lever with oil before installation.

- Install camshafts. Refer to => [ Camshafts ] Service and Repair.

- Install camshaft timing chains => [ Installing ] Camshaft Timing Chain.

- Install engine. Refer to: Vehicles with manual transmission => [ Engine, Installing ] Engine, Manual Transmission, Removing, vehicles with automatic transmission => [ Engine, Installing ] Engine, Automatic Transmission, Removing and Installing.
