Exterior Mirror Turn Signal Lamps, from 06.2009

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Pry lever (80 - 200)

Protective gloves

Removing







Risk of injury.

Wear protective gloves.

To protect the paint in the area around the mirror housing, tape it off with a soft cloth.

- Press mirror glass - 1 - out of mirror adjusting unit - arrow - using Pry Lever (80 - 200).

- Disconnect the mirror heating electrical connectors - 2 - and - 3 - on the rear side of the mirror glass - 1 -.






- Unclip the electrical connector from the bracket - 5 -, if applicable.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 4 -.

- Remove the screws - 4 - and - 5 -.






- Release the retaining tabs - 3 - in the - direction of arrow A -.

- Release the retaining clip - 1 - and remove the exterior rearview mirror housing - 2 - from the cover - B arrows -.

- Press the mirror adjusting unit down and remove the exterior rearview mirror housing upward.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.






- Remove screws - 1 - and - 4 -.

- Tilt the turn signal housing - 2 - out of the exterior rearview mirror housing - arrow -.

Installing






Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

The entire exterior mirror turn signal must be replaced if an LED is faulty.

- Insert the tip of the turn signal in the slit in the exterior rearview mirror housing - 3 - - arrow A -.

- Tilt the turn signal bulb housing - 4 - into the exterior rearview mirror housing - arrow B -. The locking tab - 2 - must engage in the mount - 1 -.

- Install the exterior rearview mirror housing.
