Fuel Injector: Description and Operation

These valves consist of a body which holds a magnetic winding, a needle guide, electromagnetic armature and a needle. They are mounted in each cylinder intake passage just upstream of the intake valves. As calculated by the ECU, the electromagnetically controlled valves spray a precisely metered amount of fuel into each cylinder.
