Child Safety Seat Release Cable

Removal

Removing the cable.
Remove the booster cushion. See Child safety seat Child Safety Seat.





Remove:
- the 8 clips
- the cushion upholstery




- the plastic panel.




Detach the upholstery from the plastic panel.





Hint: Tape up the upholstery to the backrest.





Note! Press the seat halves together.

Lock the seat halves using a self-tapping screw (1). Remove the screw (2).




Carefully pry apart the mounting for the wire reel.





Note! Note the routing of the wire on the wire reel.

Remove:
- the wire reel




- the wire from the back rest.




- the cushion.





Note! Note the marking of the spring.

Remove the spring and cable.

Installation

Installing the mechanical cable




Install the spring and a new wire.




Position the seat above the frame.
Install the screw (2) and tighten.
Remove the self-tapping screw (1) and at the same time lightly pull the wire so that the spring is correctly located.





Install:
- the wire on the reel according to the earlier note.
- the wire for the mounting in the backrest
- the reel in the mounting.




Clamp together the mounting for the wire reel.
Check the function.


Install:
- the backrest upholstery against the plastic panel
- the plastic panel against the seat
- the seat cushion upholstery
- the booster cushion. See Child safety seat Child Safety Seat.
