INTRODUCTION
- NOTE! Read through the whole installation instruction before starting the work.
- The illustrations display the procedure in order of operation. The order of operation is repeated in the text section.

- Slide both the front seats all the way back and upwards all the way at the front and rear edge.
- Press the headrest downwards.
- Find the headrest's two locks on the back of the seat. Press in the catches and pull the headrest upwards at the same time.
- The seats may require lowering slightly at the rear edge again so that the headrest can be pulled out of the backrest completely. Therefore lower the seat as much as possible so that the headrest can be released and removed. Remove the headrest on both front seats and allow the seats to remain in the same position.




- Turn the ignition key to position 0.
- Disconnect the battery negative lead.

Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.




- Remove both the side panels from the tunnel console.




- Remove the sound barrier on the driver's side by first removing the two screws and then prizing it away at the top edge.




- Pull the handle (1), move the tunnel compartment backward and lift it away (2).




- Remove the cover. It shall not be re-used.





Applies to cars with automatic gearbox
- Turn the ignition key to position II.

Applies to all models
- Move the gear selector lever to its rearmost position.
- Use a weatherstrip and pry off the gear selector panel at the rear edge.




- Press in the catches underneath and remove the panel.




- Remove the small storage compartment.





Applies to cars with telephone
- Unhook and disconnect the connector (1).
- Disconnect the telephone cable from the load-removing grommet (2).
- Release the telephone cable.
- Remove the handset.
- Remove the screw (3).
- Push the catch to one side (4).
- Remove the telephone cradle.




- Remove the 6 screws.




- Lift up and remove the upper section.
- At the same time disconnect the connector to the AUX socket.




- Disconnect the connector. Press in the catches and unhook it from the tunnel console.




- Remove the 2 screws and lift out the tunnel console.




- Take the cable harness (B) from the kit and position it as illustrated.
- The junction (1) must be at the rear edge of the SRS control module. The cable marked with blue tape must go to the right seat and the other to the left seat. The cable with 2 x 4 pin connectors must be routed forward.




- Route the cables in the join for the floor mats further along the seat rail.
- Position the cable in a loop under the seat.




- Take the cable with the 2 x 4 pin connector and route forward on the driver's side.

Carry out points 18-34 on both sides of the seats.




- Remove the screw for the seat's side panel.




- Turn the panel upwards at the front edge.
- Unhook it from the seat at the rear edge.




- Remove the knob for the lumbar support adjustment by removing the cover using a small screwdriver and pull the knob straight off.




- Take a long cable tie from the kit and insert it through the hole for adjusting the lumbar support and inside the upholstery. The cable tie must be routed between the thin foam of the upholstery and the support pad.




- Remove cable harness (A) from the kit.
- Tape the cable terminals together on the cable tie. Tape as flat as possible. See image 23.
- Remove the cable tie from the cable harness.









Applies to the right-hand front seat
- Thread the cable tie from the headrest's inner mounting down to the hole for lumbar adjustment. The cable tie must be routed between the upholstery's thin foam and the protective pad (also see image 30).





Applies to the left-hand front seat.
- Thread the cable tie from the headrest's outer mounting down to the hole for lumbar adjustment. The cable tie must be routed between the upholstery's thin foam and the protective pad (also see image 30).





Applies to both seats
- Tape the cable harness on the cable tie. Tape as flat as possible. See image 23.
- Pull it up towards the upper edge of the seat and out through the hole for the headrest.
- Remove the cable tie and tape from the cable harness.

- Take the grey connector from the kit. Connect the cable harness terminals according to point 27.
- Slide the connector's catch in.




- Adjust the length of the cable harness so that the connector protrudes approximately 20mm (13/16").




- Using your fingers, press the cable harness under the protective pad, the cable harness must not press out the upholstery after installation.

- Take the headrest from the kit.
- Locate the hole under the upholstery on the side of the headrest.

Note! the inward facing side in the car.

- Make a hole in the upholstery using a scriber or an awl.




- Take the coat hook from the kit.
- Press into the hole.
- Tap it in lightly using a plastic hammer so that it secures properly.




- Install the headrest on the seat.
- Only slide it down so that the distance between the seat and lower edge of the headrest is approximately 70mm (2 ¾").
- Connect the connector to the headrest.




- Insert the connector diagonally forwards through the hole in the headrest, at the same as moving the headrest down on the seat to the locked position.
- Check that the headrest is secure by pulling it upwards.
