Removal

Note! Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.





Caution! Make sure that the steering wheel lock is engaged.

Note! Make sure that the road wheels are in the straight ahead position.





Note! Make sure that a new component is installed.

Torque: steering column to steering gear (steering shaft joint), 25 Nm

Remove control arm front Refer to: Front control arm Service and Repair

Loosen lower torque rod Refer to: Lower torque rod, B6304T2, B6324S Lower Torque Rod

Caution! Make sure that the ball joint ball does not rotate.

Torque: Front stabilizer bar link to stabilizer bar, 60 Nm





Caution! Make sure that the exhaust flexible pipe is not forcibly bent.








Use: Transmission jack.





Remove the following items:
1. Torque: M8, 24 Nm

2. Torque: Subframe to chassis (Rear screws)Stage 1: 150 Nm Stage 2: 90 degree





Note! This step requires the aid of another technician.

Torque: Subframe to chassis (Front screws) Stage 1: 150 Nm Stage 2: 90 degree




Torque: Steering gear to subframe, 140 Nm

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill container oil power steering Refer to: Reservoir fluid power steering Service and Repair

Perform power steering system, bleeding air Refer to: Power steering system, bleeding Service and Repair
