Fault-Tracing

Fault tracing DEM-U300362

Checking the status

- Ignition on
Read the values of voltage supply to the Differential Electronic Module (DEM) and the Central Electronic Module (CEM).
The two voltage levels should not differ by more than +/- 2.0 V.

Hint: Compare with the battery voltage.

If the voltage supply to the Differential electronic module (DEM) differs by more than 2.0 V from that of the Central Electronic Module (CEM), a permanent fault is indicated.
If the voltage is correct, this indicates that the fault has existed previously but is not active just now (an intermittent fault).

Continue - Checking the connectors and leads

-------------------------------------------------

Checking the connectors and leads

- Ignition off
- Check connector A with respect to contact resistance and oxidation.
- Check for damage to the leads to connector A.
- Ignition on

Hint: Read the voltage value to check the function.

Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
Read the value of the supply voltage to the Differential Electronic Module (DEM).
Check that the value is appropriate. The voltage should not differ by more than +/- 2.0 V from that of the Central Electronic Module (CEM).

Is the voltage OK?

Information

Fault-tracing information
The fault should have been detected and remedied. As this is not the case fault-tracing has failed.
Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.

Do you want to exit fault-tracing?

Yes - Exit Fault-tracing

No - Attempt New Test
