Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-U010700

Condition
Engine control module (ECM) checks the difference between requested throttle position and actual throttle position.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The difference between requested position and actual position has been sufficiently great to give effect on emissions.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine running.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- Reduced throttle angle.

Possible source
- Other diagnostic trouble codes are stored in engine control module (ECM).
- Throttle is sticking or is blocked (e.g. oil film, dust, icing).
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
