Replacing and programming the SRS control module
The SRS control module has registered an internal fault.

Note! The hardware P/N for the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) must be checked if this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored immediately after another control module has been programmed.

Read off ECU, hardware P/N by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol.
If the number is one of those shown below, the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) must only be reprogrammed using new software.
- 8651514
- 8651515
- 8696027
- 9467815.
If the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored on another occasion or for a different type of vehicle, the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) assembly must be replaced.

Caution! A new SRS control module is delivered without software. The control module must be programmed in order to function after replacement.
