ECM-P211100 Electronic Throttle Unit Control System - Jammed In Open Position

Condition







Engine control module (ECM) checks the difference in requested electronic throttle unit position from actual position.

If engine control module (ECM) detects that the electronic throttle unit cannot close, and jams in open position, which gives reduced brake vacuum, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the engine is running.

- The vehicle's max. speed is limited.

Possible Source
- Object is blocking the throttle plate (oil film, dust, etc. )
- Damaged electronic throttle unit.

Fault Symptom[s]
- Reduced braking performance.
- Message in the display.
- The vehicle's max. speed is reduced.
