CAUTION: Do not apply rust solvent spray or grease to the heated oxygen sensor's (HO2S) connector.

Check the connector for the rear heated oxygen sensor (bank 2) for contact resistance and oxidation.

Check the cable between Engine Control Module (ECM) #A40 (#A40) and heated oxygen sensor #4 for contact resistance and oxidation in connections, open circuit and short-circuit to ground.

If the above troubleshooting does not solve the problem, try a new heated oxygen sensor.

Remedy as necessary.
