- Ignition off

HINT: This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be stored if a battery charger with too high charge voltage has been connected.

Check the generator (GEN) brushes (carbon). Check that the brushes can move in the regulator housing. The brushes are lightly sprung. Also check the slip rings.

If the brushes and slip rings appear to be OK, try a new alternator control module (ACM) (charge regulator).

Remedy as necessary.
