3. Intermittent Fault



Intermittent Fault
The engine control module (ECM) has previously detected a leak in the fuel tank system, but the fault is not active right now. The fault could be caused by leakage in the tank, filler pipe, tank cap, EVAP purge valve, canister, leakage diagnosis unit or hoses between these components.

- Location of components, engine compartment
- Leak diagnostic pump, replacing
- To apply test pressure to the fuel tank system, select one of the alternatives below based on the equipment available.
- Fuel tank system, check
- Test pressurizing the tank system

Select Continue to perform the quick test of the fuel tank system.
