HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.

- Start the engine and let it idle until it has reached operating temperature (approx. 80 degree C).
- Test-drive the vehicle on road. Drive in float mode (normal road load), constant speed around 70-90 km/h for approx. 30-40 seconds.
- Connect VCT2000 to the data link connector without turning off the engine.

NOTE: If the engine is switched off, the stored fault status will be erased and the test drive will have to be repeated.

Read off the diagnostic status and trouble status for the diagnostic trouble code.

Check that the diagnosis is "Implemented" and that the trouble status is "No malfunction found". If the trouble status is "Malfunction found", this indicates defective function.

Trouble status shows "No malfunction found"?
