Checking The Fuel Injection System, Ignition System And Components







HINT: The engine cylinders are counted from the cylinder furthest away from the flywheel.

- Bank 1 (cylinder row nearest the front): cylinders 1, 3, 5 and 7.
- Bank 2 (cylinder row furthest to the rear, nearest the passenger compartment): cylinders 2, 4, 6 and 8.

Check the fuel level in the tank.
Check that the engine oil level is correct.
Check for moisture in the electrical terminals for the ignition coils and in the spark plug well.
Check the spark plugs. Search for damage to the insulation and other damage.
Check the fuel pressure and residual pressure.
Check the engine intake system for air leakage.
Check the compression of the engine.

HINT: Read off the misfire counter by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol.

Remedy as necessary.
