ECM-P007100 Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Range/Performance

Condition







The engine control module (ECM) checks the signal from the outside temperature sensor in the left door mirror. The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control module registers that the value from the outside temperature sensor deviates too much from the value of the intake temperature after the engine has cooled at least 8 hours since running at operating temperature.

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed upon ignition after the engine has cooled at least 8 hours.

Substitute Value
- The value is set to the constant 20 degree C.

Possible Source
- Contact resistance in connector.
- Damaged outside temperature sensor.

Fault Symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
