Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information DEM-U030000

Condition

The Control module compares its configuration ID with the signal configuration which the Central Electronic Module (CEM) transmits on the Control Area Network (CAN). If the two configurations do not agree the trouble code is set. The trouble code is also set if communication between the control module and the Central Electronic Module (CEM) is interrupted.

Note! If communication is interrupted in both CAN leads it is not possible to communicate with the control module. Therefore it will only be possible to read the trouble code if the fault is intermittent. When the trouble code is set the control module will respond to a diagnostic command even though the normal CAN communication is not functioning (Expulsion mode).

Substitute value
- Nothing.

Possible source
- Incorrect CAN configuration ID. (The node is not intended for this vehicle, e.g. it is a second-hand control module with another software/hardware).
- A break in the CAN leads between the control module and the Central Electronic Module (CEM).

Fault symptom[s]
- Four wheel drive is not functioning.
- Message in the display.
- The anti-spin warning lamp is illuminated.
- General warning lamp lit
