Fault-Tracing






Fault-tracing ECM-P211800

Checking components and connections




- Ignition on.
- Activate reading off the position of the throttle.
- Check that read-off throttle position shows reasonable values at different deployments.
- Ignition off.
Check cables between Engine Control Module (ECM) and Throttle Module for short-circuit to voltage or ground.
Check the Throttle Module electrically by measuring between casing and connector.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
Activate readout of electronic throttle unit's position.
Check that read-off throttle position shows reasonable values at different deployments.

Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
