Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the torque in the engine by reading and interpreting signals from mass air flow sensor, electronic throttle unit and air pressure sensor in the inlet manifold.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the measured torque exceeds the requested torque, based on the pedal position and the engine speed (RPM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in specific driving conditions.
Substitute value
- Cruise control is disengaged when the fault is active.
- The engine torque is limited using fuel shut-off (maximum permitted torque depends on accelerator pedal position).
Possible source
- Air leak downstream of the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
- Damaged throttle unit.
- Damaged mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
- Damaged engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.
- Damaged flywheel sensor.
- Damaged air pressure sensor in the inlet manifold.
- Damaged camshaft reset valve.
- Damaged VVT-unit.
- Damaged engine control module (ECM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Jerky running
