ECM-U040583 Invalid Data Received From Control Module For Cruise Control

Condition
The steering wheel module (SWM) checks the signals from the buttons on the cruise control.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the steering wheel module (SWM) registers a fault in one of the signals from the cruise control buttons or if one of the buttons has been pressed in for too long.

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the engine is running.
