Replacing the Component

Replacing The Component

The engine control module (ECM) has registered an internal malfunction.

If the malfunction is intermittent, it has been registered previously but no longer remains. Intermittent malfunctions can be due to disruption when the engine control module (ECM) started or can be another type of malfunction that may recur at different instances. The malfunction is assessed on a case by case basis. If the malfunction recurs, replace the engine control module (ECM).

In case of permanent malfunction, replace the engine control module (ECM).

Remedy as necessary.
