Condition







The engine control module (ECM) regulates the damper in the Variable intake system (VIS) by controlling the control valve for the damper vacuum motor. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that the control signal for the control valve is too high.

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

- Nothing.

Possible Source
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.
- Damaged control valve.

- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
