Condition







The engine control module (ECM) checks the signal of the starter motor relay coil. The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the signal is high even though the ignition switch is in position II (start position).

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

- The signal cable is short-circuited to voltage.
- Damaged starter motor relay.
