Condition







The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers an internal fault

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute Value
- Various internal signals in the engine control module (ECM) are replaced with default values.
- Cruise control turned off when the fault is active.
- The electronic throttle module (ETM) follows the pulse width modulated accelerator pedal signal directly.

Possible Source
- Poorly charged battery or corroded connecting wiring.
- Damaged software in the engine control module (ECM).
- Damaged engine control module (ECM).

Fault Symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit
- Engine misfires.
- Cruise control does not function at all.
