Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
ECM-P035700 Ignition Coil G, Primary/Secondary Circuit
Condition
The engine control module (ECM) regulates the ignition coils and checks their function via a separate diagnostic cable. The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control module detects that the signal for an ignition coil is faulty.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the engine is running.
The trouble code indicates which ignition coil is involved.
- ECM-P035100, ignition coil cylinder 1.
- ECM-P035200, ignition coil cylinder 2.
- ECM-P035300, ignition coil cylinder 3.
- ECM-P035400, ignition coil cylinder 4.
- ECM-P035500, ignition coil cylinder 5.
- ECM-P035600, ignition coil cylinder 6.
- ECM-P035700, ignition coil cylinder 7.
- ECM-P035800, ignition coil cylinder 8.
Substitute Value
- Closed loop blocked.
Possible Source
- Contact resistance and oxidation in the ignition coil connector.
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground or supply voltage.
- Open-circuit on the signal cable.
- Open-circuit in the power supply cable.
- The diagnostic cable is short-circuited to ground or supply voltage.
- Open-circuit on the diagnostic cable.
- Damaged ignition coil.
Fault Symptom[s]
- Engine misfire.
