Checking Components And Wiring







HINT: Bank 1 (cylinder row nearest the front): cylinders 1, 3, 5 and 7. Bank 2 (cylinder row furthest to the rear, nearest the passenger compartment): cylinders 2, 4, 6 and 8.

- Ignition off

Disconnect the engine control module (ECM).

Check the signal cable for the relevant camshaft reset valve. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Measure between:
- Control module #A91 (#B31) and reset valve camshaft #2, exhaust (bank 1).
- Control module #A90 (#B30) and reset valve camshaft #2, exhaust (bank 2).

Remedy as necessary.
