Checking Components And Wiring







- Ignition off

Check the fuse for the circuit. If the fuse is blown, check the cable. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Check the resistance of the reset valve.

Disconnect the engine control module (ECM).

Check the signal cable for the relevant camshaft reset valve. Check for an open-circuit.

Measure between:
- Control module #A91 (#B31) and reset valve camshaft #2, exhaust (bank 1).
- Control module #A90 (#B30) and reset valve camshaft #2, exhaust (bank 2).

Check the voltage supply cable for the relevant camshaft reset valve. Check for an open-circuit.

Measure between:
- System relay and reset valve camshaft #1, exhaust (bank 1).
- System relay and reset valve camshaft #1, exhaust (bank 2).

Remedy as necessary.
