ECM-P008000 Exhaust Valve Control Circuit High (Bank 1)


Condition







The engine control module (ECM) regulates camshaft position (angle position) by regulating the changeover valve camshaft. The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control module detects that the control signal for the changeover valve camshaft is too high.

The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute Value
- Camshaft regulation deactivated.

Possible Source
- The signal cable is short-circuited to voltage.
- Damaged camshaft reset valve

Fault Symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
- Uneven idle.
- Poor performance.
- The engine stops while running.
