ECM-P005800 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Control Circuit High (Bank 2, Sensor 2)


Condition







Engine Control Module (ECM) checks if the rear heated oxygen sensor's preheating circuit (bank 2) is short-circuited to voltage.
The engine cylinders are counted from the cylinder furthest away from the flywheel.
- Bank 1 (cylinder row nearest the front): cylinders 1, 3, 5 and 7.
- Bank 2 (cylinder row furthest to the rear, nearest the passenger compartment): cylinders 2, 4, 6 and 8.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the Engine Control Module (ECM) registers that the rear heated oxygen sensor preheating circuit (bank 2) has a short-circuit to supply voltage.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at ignition on and if the battery voltage is in the range 11-16 V.

Substitute Value
- Rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) preheating shut off.

Possible Source
- Short-circuit to supply in the power cable.
- Damaged rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).

Fault Symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
