Collision sensor front, replacing

Preparatory work

Open the hood.
Remove the battery lead. See: Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting.

Removal

Removing the front collision sensor





Remove:
- the screws, 2 on each collision sensor.




- the connector on the right-hand side.




- the connector on the left-hand side.

Hint: The collision sensor is difficult to access. Use something to push the collision sensor forwards through the hole for the hood catch mounting.

Installation

Installing the front collision sensor

Install:
- the connectors, 1 on each collision sensor
- the 2 x collision sensors. Use 2 x M6 screws on each collision sensor. Tighten. See applicable specifications.

Note! Ensure that the collision sensor locating pins are aligned correctly against the cross member.

Finishing

Install the battery lead. See: Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting.
Close the hood.
