Fault-tracing information

Condition




The fault is permanent.
The fault is not mechanical.
The condenser fan does not start when the engine control module (ECM) attempts to activate it.

Note! Conditions: the engine is running, the D+ signal is active, the selector for fan speed is not in position 0, the air conditioning (A/C) is on (the green LED lights) and the conditions for A/C engagement are met.

Possible source
- Defective fuse for the circuit in the integrated relay and fusebox in the engine compartment
- Defective relay for the circuit in the integrated relay and fusebox in the engine compartment
- Defective condenser fan
- Open-circuit and a short-circuit to ground and supply voltage in the wiring in the circuit.

Fault symptom[s]
- The lowest passenger compartment temperature is not reached
- The passenger compartment temperature does not correspond to the level selected on the temperature control
